Tuberculosis (TB) is a common and often deadly infectious disease caused by mycobacteria, usually Mycobacterium tuberculos is in humans . Tuberculosis usually attacks the lungs but can also a?ect other parts of the body. It is spread through the air, when people who have the disease cough, sneeze, or spit. Most infections in humans result in an asymptomatic, latent infection, and about one in ten latent infections eventually progresses to active disease, which, if left untreated, kills more than half of its victims. The classic symptoms are a chronic cough with blood-tinged sputum, fever, night sweats, and weight loss. Infection of other organs causes a wide range of symptoms. So LNSP continued, like adulteration in consumable products, ISI mark and AGA mark of products and validity period/expiry date and so on. The agency implemented the consumer rights programme in di?erent blocks of Jajpur district.
During the Current ?nancial year the organization has implemented such types of awareness programme in Bari, Rasulpur, Korei and Binjharpur block of Jajpur district. Practicing physicians were invited as resource persons and told the participants what to do in case of suspected cases of TB.
